Smile Hello

Hi, my name is Steven. I am new to the bird world, but am eager to begin breeding. I plan on breeding quakers, cockatiels, and hopefully Timnuhs. I am looking forward to meeting new people who might want to buy, sell, or trade birds, and items in the future. Once again, I would like to say hello to all, and thanks for welcoming me into your bird brains. :)

Welcome to the board Steven. Please learn all you can about the birds before you plan to start breeding. Be very selective as to what you breed, as there are many captive bred birds in the world already looking for good forever homes.

welcome

hi and welcome to mytoos i am happy you have a love for birds but before you start breeding do yourself and the birds a favor go to some local rescue's and shelter's and see all the unwanted birds sitting there plucked abused neglected,It is heart breaking i know i do bird rescue and rehab and i cant tell you the number of birds people just dump for one reason or the other, and also ask yourself why you want to breed if your answer is money let me just say any good reputable breeder dosent make money after they do all the proper health checks and blood work and so on with them.just a few thoughts to ponder on.

Welcome to the board!
I have to echo everything previously stated. Please make sure you know what you're getting into! We're not saying this to be mean, we just want to make sure your birds will be in educated hands. :) Do you have any birds at the moment?

Welcome, Steven

Thought I'd get you started off on the right foot. You actually spell Timneh this way. If you're gonna walk the walk, ya gotta talk the talk .

May I suggest you think long and hard before you decide to breed any birds. They mate for life and if you decide you'd like to make more than $3.50 an hour, you might want to reconsider setting up pairs. That's right, if you figure in your expenses and the time it takes to handfeed baby birds, it works out to roughly $3.50 an hour. If its something you love, then its simply a hobby with perks.

Hope you like it here. We do.
