Smile Great Forum!!!

I'm Bob, my tiel's name is Charlie:
First I have to say you folks are great!!! I'll try to brief. Ive never had a bird.
One moring my backyard cardinals were just haveinf a fit. They have lived
hear as long as me (15) years. We are buddys! All the wild birds robins, cards,
hairywood peckers, housefinch. Are attacking what looks to be a piece of yellow paper. When i walk back there low and behold it's a yellow cocatiel!
When i reach out for her she jumps in my hand and proceeds bites the heck
out of my. Mr card is now gonna peck toes and mrs. robin is dive bombing my head. I will say this I've never had a wild bird touch me, Mrs robins wing was so soft. Really hard for me to put in words.I am a bird watcher its in my blood
My wife and I ask around watch the paper.Looks like we have a new family
member. She has settled down. Dont talk and is not hand tamed. I'm working
with a little bit at a time. She seems healthy. Oh I know she is girl she has layed 2 eggs. A lot of folks around here have tiels when there out side at the
same time, the birdies just have a little tweeting party lol.Thank you so much
for such a great forum. You folks REALLY do make a big difference.

Welcome to the forum! Glad to know you have joined the parrot world, as well! She may not have been an escapee, but someone may have let her go intending to expect her to live in the wild (it happens). Glad though that she has a home!

Welcome Bob:

Think how lucky you are. You didn't even have to choose one from a petstore (LOL). Hope you post often and share some photos.
