Hello Everyone
Just wanted to drop a line saying hi to everyone. A few months ago I adopted a 7 yo CAG. Congi has quickly become a total part of the family...yes mostly animals. This is Congi's third home, and barring any major misfortune, her last! I found the board looking for more and more information not only on greys, but on GW Macaws, I am hoping to adopt one in a few months or so.
I have to say I love the site and the people here seem great! I look forward to what time has in store!!

Hi Cris, Welcome. I think that is really wonderful you found your self a new friend, and things are going well for the both of you. Are you adopting a green wing from the same place you adopted your grey? Ive looked at alot of rescue sites and have een lots of different birds for adoption and have never seen a green wing. Thats really neat!!! I hope all goes well with your new adoption.

No, I got Congi from a private party. There isn't a GW yet, that is where the hope comes into play

Oh I see, I think I just assumed and I appologize. LOL Well Ill keeps my fingers crossed for you. Those are very pretty birds.

I have two CAG's, Bubba and Ziggy. How is Congi doing? Greys are wonderful! I know you will enjoy eachother. Do you have any other birds now?

Really soda pop? Never seen a GW in a rescue? I have seen GWs, B&GS, greys, amazons, greys, caiques, finches.....
the gabriel foundation has a lot of the above. Also mickaboo.com is a rescue in CA that usually has a TON of birds, like ecletus, finches, canaries, caiques, etc.

No, but Ive never "been" to a rescue. Looked at some sites around here and also else where. When the word adopt was said I just assumed it was from was rescu and thought it was really cool to find such a pretty bird there. I know if you spend enopugh time looking at rescues you will more than likley find what your heart desires. I will have to look at that site you mentioned. No where close to me though Im afraid.
