Smile Buddy and me are new to BirdBoard

Hi Everyone,
I just brought home my first bird, a Meyer's Parrot, who my husband named Buddy, even though he's a little intimidated by her. I call her a girl, though I don't know, but I don't plan on breeding, so I guess it doesn't matter if I know one way or the other. I am lucky in that I am allowed to keep her at work with me during the week and I bring her home on weekends. She gets lots and lots of attention. I'll have her spoiled in no time. I am so glad that I found this board, I'm sure I will have lots of questions about her. I look forward to meeting everyone. As soon as I figure out how to do it, I'll post some pictures of her. She's a very pretty girl!
Stephanie

Stephanie, Welcome to Birdboard. You will find these folks can help in a multitude of ways. Just curious if you are the person I met at Cages 4 Less a couple of months back. I was leaving the birdboard fliers there and talked to someone that was expecting a Meyers. If so, I'm glad you found the site.

Welcome Stephanie. I hope you enjoy your new perch here at Birdboard. Not too many of us have Meyers, so we'll have to learn right along with you.

Smile

Well, I got a couple of pictures loaded on the Main page. You can see her little devlish face She earns those little 'horns' by being pretty sneaky. She can shimmy down the legs of her cage without making a sound! I've also discovered that she does not really like dogs. Okay, let me re-phrase that, she has decided that all dogs must die It's so funny because she can spend hours just getting scratches and being soooo very sweet and cuddly, but enter any dog and the gloves come off! Not to worry, she's never even come close to the dogs, but now I know to really watch her around them. I don't have any dogs at home, but they come to work on Fridays.
Hi Jeff, I believe I did meet you at Cages4Less. I was picking up a cage cover and some toys. I believe you were picking up some treats for your McCaws. You highly recommended this site, now I see why. Thanks for the advice!
