Smile New bird owner Down Under

Just got myself an 11 month old Blue Indian Ringneck and so far I am loving it. His name is kai, which means sea, I love the sea and its blue like he is so thought it was appropriate. Someone else told me Kai means food in Maori, and thats exactly what hubby says Kai will be if he ever bites him (yeah over my dead body). I have come across another IRN owner that named his bird Cai.

Kai is just the right balance of beautiful, clever, loving and cheeky for me. Love Him to death and I can tell he loves me .. and I have only had him a week.

I am building a bit of a website, its just a quick mock up for now but as time goes on it will grow .. tell me what you think .. http://www.geocities.com/xkyriax/index.html .. the two videos of him are the same at the moment but I just need to find the time to add the other few I have taken.

Have his wings clipped .. at least for now.. and he is settling in very well. He will take alot of teaching but I think I am going to well enjoy his cheeky nature.

Nice to have somewhere to come for reading and bragging

catch you all soon

You know, I think I might have heard of you from someone else, that is, if you know of anyone else who may own birds! I just remember someone saying that a friend of theirs had gotten a blue ringneck, and named it after the ocean...

Anyway, Kai is gorgeous, and it will be lovely to see his new cage! He's got a lovely little twirl too!

Red face

Welcome, Kai looks alot like Blue Bean my female IRN. What great birds to have. My cage is in the garden in the middle of one of my flower beds. This is great because I sit and watch them for hours. Unfortunately I only got Blue Bean when she was about three years old so she is not tame, but I don't really mind. It is strange how all three my ringnecks are so differant. Blue Bean likes coming to the front of the cage when you are near and just look at you. Sunny just doesn't like people, she is very shy. Snippertjie on the other hand is a real show off and great talker. I hope you enjoy your IRN as much as I enjoy mine.
