If you are afraid to move it, then you may as well leave it, even though it would be better for the nest box to be off the floor of the cage. Do you know how many eggs they have? Have you seen into the nest box since putting it in? I am a bit curious about that.
The fresh foods sound good, though ideally, you'll want to be feeding more of it. You may want to try feeding more dark greens (romain lettuce, broccoli, dandelions, etc), maybe even add some sweet potatoes to those carrots (feed them cooked so that they are soft), some cooked eggs (boiled, scrambled, etc just as long as they are well cooked). Feeding them various fruits is fine, though the veggies are a more important as they contain more nutrients and vitamins than the fruits, but fruits are still fine to give.

Many of us are here to help, and to share stories, or to learn something for ourselves!
Some birds like to dunk their food in the water before eating it. I'm guessing this might be true with eggs, though you might try cooking them differently and then offering them (boiled, scrambled... maybe add some veggies to the scrambled eggs making an omelet?). You really want to get your cockatiel off of the sunflower seed diet since the sunflowers are so fatty. They are fine as a treat, but not as a whole diet. Try offering him millet sprays, and seed mixes without sunflower seeds in them. Make sure that he is eating the food at least before removing the sunflower seeds completely. Check out this link: Getting Your Bird to Try New Foods You might try offering him other yellow soft foods (such as bell peppers, or bananas even), try broccoli, lettuce, carrot tops, dandelion greens (or even the flowers... if you have any in your area... be sure that there was no fertilizer, insecticide, or weed killer used within the past year or so-unless the health food stores sell them which would be better). If he has any connection to you or one of the other birds, it might be easier if he saw someone else eating the good stuff!
