I have had cry baby (electus) since she was 5 months old who is now 1 year and max (green cheek) since he was 4 yrs old and is now 7. I also have a congo african gray that I got at 8 months old and is now 3 (who I don't talk about much since he was my bird, but hates me with a passion and loves my dh so I don't fool with him or I will end up with another scare from him). I love birds to death. I have always wanted them since I was a little girl and my mom had a love bird. My dream is to eventually have my own aviary. I dont breed right now though I am looking into getting max a mat and have babies So I am doing all of my research on how to breed amazons, hand feeding and so on. My dh laughs at me and says that I spend more time with my birds then I do with humans. I always tell him that is not true that I spend time with my kids while I am with the birds so that they can handle them too. And besides, my birds will probably be with me longer then my kids or my dh lol. But he can not talk much, he carries his CG around with him like a part of his body. lol
