I am...
I'm a little late in introducing myself. I was quite panicked when I found this site because my dog had pulled out everyone of my cockatiels tail feathers and all I could think about was getting information to help him.
My name is Lori Ann and I'm the proud owner of two cockatiels (female - named Lynnard, she was already named when I got her, and male - named Cypher) three dogs (chow - named Maggie, the culprit in my senerio, boxer - named Sassy and a charpeagle - named Bo Jangles), and an iguanna (named - Max). I have been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. Truth be told, I have to admit, I love animals more than people. Their unconditional love is truly God's greatest gift to them. This is not the first time that I have had cockatiels, but it is the first time that I've had them with other animals. Because everyone of our animals have been rescued from horrible situations it is hard for me to keep them caged up. I realize now though that because my birds are used to going where they want, including the floor, that when the dogs are around they will have to be locked in their cages. None of my animals are mean, but it is obvious they do not know the difference between a squeek toy and a frantic bird. Anyway, I am thankful to have found such a place as this to share in other peoples success stories and find out so much useful information. Hello to everyone and thanks for all of your help.
