Teil Lover

Hi everyone
I have been coming to bird board, but have never posted anything, so I thought it was time to introduce myself. I am from Wyoming Mn. I have three grown daughters, four grandsons and two great granddaughters. I have recently purchased a hand fed white face cockateil. He or she is five mo. old he is the the most entertaining little bird. I named him Romeo (hoping that he is a boy) because he is so loveable. Each night we cuddle before he is put back in his cage for the night. I also was contacted by a friend who asked if I would like another cockateil, of coarse I said yes. Not sure if I did the right thing. He is five years old and has had no people attention just another cockateil in the same cage. When his companion died he was alone for quite a long time. He is a terrible biter and has drawn blood so I use a perch when I take him out of his cage. I know it will take time to get him to trust me. His name was scooter but he doesn't know that. Right now they have seperate cages. I want them to be attentive to me not each other. My plan is not to ever put them together. Happy to be here

Welcome and good luck with the 'tiels - patience is everything in training - but they will eventually meet crest-to-crest no matter how hard you try to keep them seperated It's a bird thing

I have two 'tiels ( still not sure if their both girls or both boys, but with majority telling me their likely girls, I'm stickin' to it till I find out otherwise )

thank you everybody. Nice welcome. I put a picture of each one of my babies in the album area. Don't know how to do it any other way yet. I'm still learning how to get around this site. I love it here,so many things to read about. I've already learned a few things. Thank you Bird Board for having such a wonderfull site for all us bird lovers to go to. Kari

I dunno if this'll help but this is the only way I know how to put pictures on the thread.
To post pictures on the thread you click on "Go Advanced" scroll down to "Additional Options" and click on "Manage Attachments" a window will pop up and you can use that window to upload your pictures.
I dunno how you upload them from a URL but if your pictures are on your computer then you can go "Browse" and then "Upload".
And it'll look like this.

Now it is time for me to look for this album you speak of (still kinda new to the board...) There is just so much to the board!
