Just joined today.
I just joined Birdboard today. ....it will take me a while to get the hang of it. <g> I have a 4 month old female yellow naped amazon. My husband & I had a male yellow naped amazon several years ago and we were devastated when he passed away. He was our baby. Last month we saw a baby yellow nape in the pet shop, and the rest is history.
 We named her JJ. (Our last amazon was named Jade.) I would love to hear from other members who have female yellow napes. I've heard the males are better talkers but JJ is already jabbering away. We love her to pieces. I look forward to meeting everyone and aquiring lots of birdie info.

Welcome from Colorado!
Most people don't know the sex of their birds since they're companions rather than breeders. So it's hard to say whether males are better talkers!
