Hello,i'm very new to this.We just got a lutino male on Sat.,they say he is about a year old.apperently he was returned with attitude problems,and needs lots of love. He seems fine when we reach in cage,he just goes the other way.Any suggestions on training him? We don't know if he was neglected.He will whistle occasionally,but not much.

Hello and wecome!Take your time and just sit quietly with him.Talk softly and offer something tasty through the cage bars.Many tiels like spray millet.This is a stressful time for him and he needs to relax and settle in first.Since you are new you should learn about the household things that can make a bird sick like chocolate ,avacados,caffeine,some fruit seeds,scented candles, Teflon pans and air deodorizers.There's alot to learn but you'll find out a great deal on any given topic by using ''search'' above.We look forward to hearing more about your bird.
