Hello,
My name is Cindy and I live in Singapore. I am owned by an 3 years 4 months old CAG called Brodie and a year old Mealy called Danny. Brodie is a cantankerous bird and will only allow me to handle him - however, he talks non stop and you can even have a conversation with him at times. Danny is a very playful,sweet and gentle fella who he loves to be swung upside down...though he can be loud at times...I look forward to meeting all you other "birdie" people and sharing experiences with you.
I've just bought Danny for 3 weeks now, and i'd like to learn more about Mealy Zons as i've not met anyone in Singapore, where i live, who owned a Mealy Zon. I hope i could learn more about the Mealy's personality, behavior and their talking ability and how to train them.Hope i'll be able to learn more here and gain knowledge in keeping parrots.

I do believe you will find lots of info about the Mealy Zons here, as there is many Zon "owned" people here on the BirdBoard :)

Sounds like you have a love for parrots, and that is the only prerequiste for this board!

My grey is a rehomed parrot who sleeps in my bed-room and he does talk...

along with the mimicing of handphones, homephones, sms, whistle some broken songs, wolf whistle, car screeches...just anything in daily life...he could mimic very well... he could sing like a song bird too... :)

Welcome Cindy! Sounds as though Brodie is a chatter box. Glad that you joined us and hope you will find what you need here. I know that there is another mealy here. I just can't remember who has it. I've got a little "Sometimer's disease". Sometimes I can remember and sometimes I can't. lol

Thank you again guys.... tp_in_scott and tiki have loads of birds... How i wish i could keep macaws but it's not possible when u r staying in HDB Flat and people here are prone to complains...lol
I'll definitely ask around for Mealys info....:)...
i think i've forgotten to mention that i also have 5 budgies..:).... Luke and Skye, i handfed from young, and the other 3 are Ben, Billy and Leia. Small in size but loads of personalities...:)..lol
and CFulhage... yes Brodie provide lots of laughter at home though he refuses to sleep before 1-2am at night, no matter lights off, cage cover, he'll still be talking away and trying his best to wake me up...lol...
