Welcome Jeff:

You'll diffently learn a lot here. Just wait and see. Browse the board in the meantime. It seems that you have a house full. I'd love to see some pictures.

Enjoy!

Hi thanks for the welcome I tried to upload a couple pics not sure if it worked lol anyhow Im not the greatest picture taker and my scarlet (Scarlet Ohare) never wants to sit still shes always danceing or moveing about. she also has a very large vocabulary and is talking all the time. I also put a pic of my blue inrs on. Im looking forward to spending a lot of time on this site. I really enjoy reading and learning about birds ect. and also other animals. I was a proffessional dog breeder shower and wildlife breeder dealer for over 25 years. I specialized in wolves but also enjoy all types of animals and birds. Ive had many different kinds of animals and birds in my life and will for the rest of it! there is nothing like animal and bird companionship.
Thanks again for the welcome
Jeff

Yep, the pictures showed up. Thanks for sharing them. It was interesting to me that you too showed dogs. I am a dog fancier myself. I am owned by Miniature Pinschers. I compete them in AKC sanctioned shows throughout the country. I love my babies... All of them!

I am looking foward to learning more about you and your babies.

Hi Jeff, I'm relatively new here too. You have lovely birds, and I love the fact that you were a wolf man for your prior career. I have always loved them, but never owned one. Glad to have your aboard, the pics came thru just fine. I have 2 Cockatiels. Someone told me when I got my first one that it wouldn't be the last one, because when people find out you have a bird you wind up taking one that no one else wants. And sure enough, I got a call from a woman who was moving to Australia and couldn't take hers with her and now there are 2. One is Tiki the other is Flapper. I love my birds. One of them recently got hurt by a dog owned by my grandaughter who had come to visit. He wasn't used to birds and she wasn't used to dogs. Thankfully he only got her tail feathers, and she is fine, and they are growing back out. Scared me half to death. The Bird Doctor told me she would be fine and she is doing very well. Hope you enjoy your birds as much as I do mine. Have a good day. You will learn a lot on this board, lots of knowledgable people on here. I haven't had mine that long so have lots to learn too. A good bird vet is a good way to learn. Tinkerbelle

My ex wife and I were the first reconized judges at wolf /wolf hybrid shows. I showed wolves, wolf hybrids, Anatolian shepherds, American pitbull terriers, New Guinea Singing dogs, and also was the first person and think only person to show Dingos at rare breed shows. I used to do educational talks on wolves and other animals at schools, zoos, and for other organizations. Was also involved with testifiying at hearings in regards to bred specific legislation, rabies issues, and court cases involving wolves and hybrids. Ive been owned by many critters in my life such as wolves, dogs, cougars, serval, lynx, geoffreys cats, monkies, kinkajou, cacomistle (ring tail cats), African palm civit, New Guinea stripped possom, raccoons, skunks, foxes, prarrie dogs, ferrets, domestic rodents mice and rats, exotic rodents zebra mice, darwins leaf eared mice, degus, pygmy mice, doormice, deermice, gambian pouched rats, hedgehogs, short tail possoms, 4 kinds of deer white tail, fallow, chinese water deer, muntjac, barbados sheep, nigerian dwarf goats, mini donkies, standard donkies, mini horses, mule, pot belly pigs, russian wild boar, several types of peacocks, pheasants, ducks, geese, emu, snakes, lizards, alligators, camin, tarantulas, scopions parrots, ect. im sure ive missed a few. but im sure you can get an idea of what I was into. animals birds animals birds and more animals and birds lol. due to a divorce im not into it as much as I would like to be. But im sure with time I will get it back but not as big as I was. I basically had my own private zoo. As for pics of my lorries I will post a couple but they havent been cooperating with me to get some frontal pics. I will also ad a pic of me and one of my wolves its an older pic he was a pure British Columbian wolf and is 10 months old in the pic. He got alot bigger as he got older and has pasted away at the age of 15 years old. I miss him very much. also I will post a pic of me and one of my cougars Tweet she was my full time house cat,. I hope no one minds me posting these as they arent birds. well I guess ive rambled on enough for now. Hope you guys like it.
Jeff

Oh wow am I jealous!!!! I'm no lory expert but those look like green napes!

And Bo is gorgeous! I've done reading on wolves as pets and have read how smart they are, and even pros to having them over a dog. (in truth, I'd actually prefer a wolf or wolf hybrid over a dog - someday) I have even seen a few wolf hybrids but never really met one until Finn! Finn was like 63% wolf, and the rest was shepherd, malamute and husky.... and he was just gorgeous! I couldn't believe it when his owner decided it'd be best to rehome him, and I cried when I heard Finn crying! It was terrible! He got a good home though where he is spoiled and loved just as much as the previous one!

I certainly don't mind the photos! I enjoy them! And find all this fascinating! So don't ever mind about posting this stuff!

How interesting.. That's cool!

I sometimes go to my vet's office to help out with the animals. He has cows, monkeys, cougars, pigs, dogs, cats, chickens, geneas, parrots... Anything that you can name he has it and I've been fortunate to interact and care for them all. I've included some pictures that I took just two days ago of the cougar, cows, horses, and monkey. I don't know how well they will show up as the pictures were taken with my phone. I've also included a picture of the pups that I now have out showing. The girl has obtained her championship and is now being specialed.

Enjoy!
