Hello From A New Member

Hi my name is Rachel or just Rae for short. I stumbled upon this site tonight, quite by accident & cannot believe that I haven't found it before now! Anyways there are some names here that look quite familiar including Wendy Craig's, among others. I have an RFM from Wendy & am expecting a Blue Throat & Scarlet from her this summer

Anyways....I have a very full house, as I take in a lot of rescues, rehomes, birds that are in need of rehabilition & other scenarios of that manner. I currently have 19 parrots, with 2 more rescues coming in shortly. I also have 2 dogs, 2 rescued Southern Flying Squirrel babies that I am handfeeding & 2 rescued Sugar Glider joeys that I am handfeeding as well. So needless to say, it's never a dull moment around my house. This fall I am expecting my most yearned for Hyacinth Macaw....I finally broke down & took the plunge Other than that, my door is always open to a bird in need!

Here's the list of my crew -- it's really long just like my whole intro has been

~Maui~ gender unknown lutino Fischer's Lovebird
~Rajah & Sariyah~ male Congo African Greys
~Rio~ gender unknown Peach Faced Lovebird
~Zeus~ male Honduran Yellow Nape Amazon
~Mattias~ gender unknown Nanday Conure
~Tori~ gender unknown Goffin's Cockatoo
~Kaos~ male Yellow Shouldered Amazon
~Solana~ gender unknown Sun Conure
~Zahraa'~ female Umbrella Cockatoo
~Metea~ male Green Cheek Conure
~Malachi~ male Blue & Gold Macaw
~Amirah~ female Vosmaeri Eclectus
~Diva~ female Moluccan Cockatoo
~Achilles~ male Red Front Macaw -- he's from Wendy Craig
~Caesar~ male Galah Cockatoo
~Kapri~ Blue Crown Conure
~Adonis~ male Hawkhead
~Koa~ female Senegal

Adopting in several weeks: A male Vos Eclectus hybrid & a
male Yellow-Sided Pineapple Green Cheek Conure

Deposit: My most yearned for Hyacinth Macaw
Wait List: A male Scarlet Macaw & a male Blue Throat Macaw -- also coming from Wendy Craig

~Xena~ female Pitbull
~Xander~ male Doberman Pinscher Puppy

~2 male & female Sugar Glider Baby Joeys
~Pandora & Gypsy~ female Southern Flying Squirrels

Well I am really excited about finding this place & am looking really forward to getting to meet & know you all! This looks like a really great forum!!!

Welcome! You sure have a lot of birds!

You'll fit in just fine, as long as you take lots of pictures! We love looking at other birds that we want but could never have... especially birds like that Hyacinth!

Have fun here!

Hey Graeh....I new I recognized your lewd little flasher bird last night It's great to recognize some faces here!

Thanks everyone for your warm welcomes I greatly appreciate it! I was so excited when I found this place last night....most parrot forums are so slow, but this place seems really hoppin'

As for pictures...I have an album it didn't have pictures of the newer birds in it, so as soon as I am finished uploading my new pictures on it this evening, I will post it :)

Joel....well you already sound like a heap a trouble.....so keep it up! Yeah as for the S.O. there isn't one in my collection as you put it. Little ol' me takes care of this jungle on a daily basis. Why? You wanna come over & scrub bird cages for me?

I can't wait to meet you all & to get to know everyone!
