Oops! Here are the pictures that I wanted to add!

Here is little baby Huey, DOH 7/8/07, sun conure and absolutely spoiled rotten!

"On my way to my new home! My mom drove nearly 7 hours to come pick me up!"

Such a handsome boy!!

"So, Mom does homework and I snuggle up inside a warm, fuzzy robe...life is rough."

"I love my showers!"

"You probably don't look so hot getting out of the shower either!"

OMG - those photos are great... i look at the first one and think "what a cute picture" (it's adorable), and think the same when looking at each of the following ones....

very cute bird you have - the first one though might be the best candidate for a frame thanks for sharing (also love the "after shower pics" - what do you think of the "wet birdie smell"? )

I LOVE the wet birdie smell! I guess that means that I am truly owned by a bird now huh? Thanks for the great comments!

oh yeah - the "stinkie-sock" smell..... only true LOVE motivates you to still stick your nose into those feathers... the last photo is hysterical...... not to provide "ideas", but there's lots of room to play with wet birdies

"don't mess any more with me - i warn you"

Ha ha ha! Your pics are great! Looks like you have a very snuggly baby on your hands.

And I have to say that I *cough* love the smell of wet sun conure. Smells like tamales to me! Yum!

Ok, that's got to be the cutest pics I've seen in quite a while. Honestly, if you can get your hands on a "bird talk" magazine, they have picture contests all the time, and you have WINNERS there.

Seriously, you should do it. Those pictures rule! My Sun is actually afraid of taking a shower or bath - unless she's on my shoulder and i hold up her water dish for her to hop into and get my face soaked while she has a hey day.

The cuddling of the neck pic you have is just darling. Autumn tends to do the same, but only when I'm washing her dish out in the sink, it's her reminder to me to get the dish up to my shoulder for her to take her bath.

So cute!

Now this little fella - "CHUCKY".... he just won't let you sleep.

I love that face in the first wet picture...I know the bird is probably just closing its eyes blocking water, but that look is so perfectly a look of elation. I can't wait to get my Lovebird from my breeder!

(My wife is getting more and more jealous of my incoming bird pet because of all the hilarious, funloving personality traits of these birds I keep reading about. She really wants one as soon as her hamster passes on and I always thought a brightly colored Caique would be fun for her to add with my lovebird...but pictures like these have me wondering if a Conure would be better for her. :) )

Love birds a sweet as well! We actually have three that were given to us from a local breeder at 3 months old. The breeder had sold her home and was moving and decided to just give them away. She had a mated pair that she was going to sell us as well (I think she was only going to sell the pair for like 50.00), but three love birds seemed like enough, two more would just be too much.

The one thing we're learning is that our lovebirds are constant chatters and eat like pigs. I'm thinking that I'm going to have to isolate them in seperate cages to get them "trained" and socialized as keeping them in the cage just seems cruel to them and they just won't get onto my finger, let alone let me take them out without a fight. I want family members, not pets! That and I'm not sure how to clip the wings on the little suckers to keep them from flying off - I think with small birds like that you aren't suppose to clip them are you?

If you're looking for an affectionate conure I have a personal recommendation for you to get a Sun Conure. Now be forwarned that a Sun has a good set of vocals on him/her and is not affraid to use it. But our Sun is the most social, clownish, loving, cuddling bird we have. To this date she has yet to ever really bite or nip at me. She will nibble on my ear playfully to get me to pay attention to or play with her - truely a gift from god! (And I'm not a religious man even...) If all birds acted like her, we'd have 100's of them in our home - honestly.

Anyhow, congrats on your upcomming love birds. They are such clowns as well, but if you get more than one - I would plan on hearing chatter (chirps and squeals) from them quite often - almost non stop/except at night - maybe my experiences are just the exception to the rule and yours will a little less chirpy.

Peace!
