Smile G'day from Western Australia

Hi everyone, As you can see from the thread title I am a newbie to your site and I live in Western Australia. Thats the big chunk of Australia on the left when your lookin' at a map, and I live right down the bottom where we have the most stunningly beautiful native parrots that we definately take for granted. From the Multicoloured western Rosellas and Red Caps to the ever noisy Black Cockatoos. My fiancee and I only have avairy birds at the moment which include lots of Indian Ringnecks and some Red-Rumps, Scarlets, Budgies and Japanese Quails but hope very soon to extend our flock. I usually hand-raise some babies for pets every year but they have all gone to new homes so I don't have any pets at the moment apart from our dogs

Well thats about all for now
Look forward to chatting to you all

I found a breeder in Australia that was selling a black cockatoo, I can't recall if it was just one type or a few, but I think it was a few different types of black toos... They are more expensive, like $2000 and up for black toos, I think??? Can't really say for sure!

Perroquet.... that does sound quite familiar! Anyway, welcome to BB! You've already been a great help in the ringneck section! Glad to have you on board!

Welcome! Your birds and your country, for that matter, always make me drool with envy for their beauty. Not that my part of the world and our birds aren't beautiful, mind you.... just different :-). To see flocks of cockatoos in the wild must be something! I look forward to reading your posts.

hey!
I just moved last year from Perth to Sydney Nice to see another aussie on here let alone someone from my home city!
A friend of mine in Perth has in Indian Ringneck, VERY loud, but so gorgeous and had such a cute personality.
I used to work at the Quokka too so I know how many birds we have over there

welcome...........another Aussie, that is great At the moment I am almost being blown away by strong winds........at least the washing dries quickly. I feel sorry for those in Innisfail though........my sister in law lives up there on a property, she was a lucky one, her place is salvageable, unlike the house on the next property.

welcome
