Hello all. I am owned by an eleven month old female CAG, Bela, for almost three months now. Her entry into my life is probably one of the best things that could happen to me. She is my child! :)

Bela shares the house (but not cage) with 4 other budgies. They each have unique personalities, but are not really tame enough to let loose flying around the house, so they have a HUGE cage and we often close off that room and let them fly around. Getting them back in the cage is an exhausting exercise unlike anything else.

Anyway, I look forward to chatting with you all.

I just saw Ollie's videos...if we're talking about the same one? If so, OMG!! My Bela just picked up "how cool???" today. I never say that, except for today when she was a little bit nippy...I was trying to distract with something (I honestly don't remember what it was now). When I caught myself saying it, it reminded me of N'kisi video I saw months back. Son of a gun, she said it twice later in the evening. .

Looks like Bela is one unique little grey! And a cutie to boot!

I've got 4 budgies too! However, they are in a small (18' sq x 46'h) *ferret* cage (didn't know until I asked the manufacterer... California Cages). It's a temporary fix for now (got 4 tiels in it, but the tiels needed a larger cage...). Because it's so small though, I normally let them out once to twice a day (when I feed them in the mornings, and maybe again later in the day). I used to have problems getting them back in the cage at first, but after a couple of weeks of doing this every day, they have learned to go back in the cage when I 'go' for them! I only need to help one get back in the cage, and he's gotten friendly enough to handle (10 or so year old budgie, a hermit at that the little bugger-he's become inactive so getting him out of the cage to fly about the room for a few mins is good for his little body!).
