Hello all. I am owned by Jerry, an 18 month old Galah. Jerry came into my life because he had been hit by a car and couldn't get off the road due to a broken wing and shock. I had owned other birds before, but had no idea how much joy a parrot can bring. I am thinking of getting a mate for him but don't know if this is a good idea. Perhaps someone out there has some advice on this? Nice to be part of your community.

Take it your from Australia, as I've heard similar stories as well! Curious though as to how you know his exact age (or at least as exact as you can get???). Congrats on your new little buddie, and I think too that you should stick with one, at least for now! Oh how I'd love a galah someday!
