Finally here are pics of my New Sun Conure

Well, I finally got the batteries I needed and here you go. My new baby Sun conure, still NO NAME YIKES!

hmmm what are you doing lady

is that a CAMERA??? LET ME EAT IT!!!

oh fine, if you wont let me eat it I'm leaveing!

see ya later crazy lady!

She is very sweet. Hasnt tried to nip me at all. A little loud but I expected that :) And she got VERY upset with me when I put her back in her cage after her photo session hehe. Silly bird. OH YES, After hearing the comments about the Pretty Bird bird food. I removed it from her main food dish and gave her the seed I use for my other birds. SHE CHOWED DOWN!!!! She has totally ignored the other dish that contains the Pretty Bird food and LOVES my seed lol. So I will keep the pretty bird on hand JUST IN CASE but I think she will do fine on the seed mix I use, as well as the fresh veggies. She also LOVES my crock pot mix that I feed the birds. Has rice, corn, all kinds of yummy bird type foods that are also good for humans ;)

We are thinking Zorro for her name cause she had that red "mask" across her eyes. BUT nothing set in stone yet lol. Besides, look at those beautiful blue feathers on her wings and tail. Gotta find the right name for her.

The paper they gave me says she is just over 4 months old. So still just a baby. I am wondering though if mabey she is a bit younger than that. She dosent grip too well on perches or my finger. Not tight at all like my Green Cheek does and he is a month younger than her according to his papers.

Cute baby! I love Sun Conures. We have Petey McSweet, and although he's the smallest bird in the flock, he's also the cockiest! Gotta love 'em :-).

She could be 4 months. I have the same situation with new baby grey. He's about 4 months old and he has virtually no coordination. He climbs the cage slowly, he's learning step up but he moves onto my hand very slow, he is still learning to perch and has no balance. Sometimes he goes to sleep leaning up against the cage and he'll fall off the perch. We have a perch lower to the ground and he sometimes uses that but he uses the higher ones to sleep on. Birds develop at different rates, just like kids do. I got Kiri at 3 months old and she was stepping up and moving around the cage really well so I understand exactly what you are saying. At first I thought something was wrong with Merlin because he's so slow moving with his coordination and balance but I now know that he's just developing a little slower. He's getting alot better though. It's possible she's younger than they said but its also possible that she just developing slower. Just something to think about.
