Hi

Well I'm new here and already learned so much! I love my parrotlet Rocko! I only want the best for him, if there is anyone with any advice, I would love to hear it. There is one thing I would like to learn more about, and that's wing clipping.

Hello, welcome to the board!
Allmost people think that wing clipping is very important. Because you can control your bird movement and avoid all problems that maybe caused by the birds flying. If you clip your bird's wing , it will be easier for you to train your bird. If it was the first time to clip your bird's wing it is the best to learn that from your vet. Then it will be easy to do it yourself....

Here's a good couple of sites! I prefer this method of clipping (described on the websites) over others...

Hi welcome
- there are others here considering getting a Parrotlet, & you will be a great help telling them about your bird.

Bring on the photos - I recently uploaded some photos into the album & then posted them in a thread. I didn’t know how to put them into an attachment here.

Here's my favourite wing-clip info – it has some photos & it’s a little different from the classic clip: http://www.exoticpetvet.net/avian/clip.html
noticed Monica had the same site - but another page(?).
