Welcome pletlover from SW Missouri. I see you are another love bird addict. I think they are my favorite. I have 3 parrotlets and am getting one more at the end of this month and hopefully some orange face lovies.

Crazybirdlady did you make your own cages? Do you have any pictures of a whole one? Your lovies are gorgeous. What have you got there, pallids and/or cinnamons? the really pale one with the OF is so pretty.

I'd love to be able to make my own cages, but 1) I'm not talented enough 2) Not enough time to make them 3) the company that makes them is local and they are great cages http://www.qualitycage.com/avian.html

Only one Cinnamon in the pictures shown and that's the OF hen. The ones you might be thinking are pallids are actually a Seagreen Edged Dilute and a clear Pied Seagreen Edged dilute. Gorgeous pair, hatched 4 beauties this Spring, including a WF Edged Dilute.
The Pied OF is a good looking fella, we've yet to set up with a girl yet, but I'm thinking he'll have a pal in the next few weeks.

Here is a pic of my pied. She just had her first clutch. She is a plucker and I had to take her babies away at 3 weeks of age. She had them darn near bald! Yes I breed parrotlets. The momma and her babies, she keeps taking out different types of nesting material that I make her. Parrotlets are funny that way. Ugh!

We live in Trenton, and drove all the way to Rockford to get our Parrotlet last summer. If I had only known about you here so close. But Paulie is great and I wouldn't trade him for the world! How long have you been breeding P'lets??
