Newbie from Canadia
Hi all! I am a brand new owner of a 2 year old Red Rump Parrot. Just yesterday I bought him, and brought him home from my neighbors who never spent any time with him.
I am an avid animal lover, and also have 3 dogs, a cat, a fish, and a pony. Really, although I could write a book about dogs or horses, I know next to nothing about birds. By this forum, I hope I can learn lots from experienced hands. Already, I have a mouthful of questions that will be spilling out any moment now.

Hi - we'll all look for your questions in the (?) section - I guess the parakeet section? Red Rumps - they're a grass parakeet yes?
Monica might have some stuff to say - she has Bourkes parakeets [ although a different species, they are grass parakeets too ] I recently [fell in love with it actually] came across a Swift parakeet at the local pet store - they didn't say he was an aviary bird - i emailed a breeder in Australia to find that out. He's still alone at the pet store & it's driving me crazy - apparently they should be kept in a flock - like a rosella. Post photos too please - good rescue by the way!
