Red face Hi, I'm a newbie

Hello everyone. I have just joined the group and reading through the posts I'm so glad I did!
I have a Senegal called Basil, and African Grey called Dave and 3 days ago a very sad Hahns Macaw called Popeye moved in too! All my birds came from unhappy homes.
I could really do with some help and support with training etc and am hoping you will be able to help me.
Glad to have met you all

Welcome to Birdboard. Sounds like an interesting flock you've got there. If we can be of any help, just ask.

Welcome, Lolly! You'll like it here :-). My spouse is from the UK (Scotland, specifically) and knows the area, but I've only spent a few months there (and in Ireland) after our marriage while waiting for INS approval for spouse to immigrate to the US. Where is Kent? I love all of Scotland, and am very partial to northern England, but I don't seem to remember anyplace called Kent. Is it rural or urban?

Can't wait to see pix of your feathered family, and hear stories about your part of the world :-).

Hi & Welcome,
Been to Kent - a very long time ago - very beautiful place from what I remember, both rural & urban & so 'old'. When you live in N. America you never see stuff/buildings that old .
You really have a diverse group of birds - hope it all works out - congrats on all the rescues.

Hi again,
Thankyou for the welcomes.
So far everything seems to be going ok with my boys. It puts me in mind of when my children started school - there's the same sort of checking each other out and good behaviour and manners! I'm sure that will all change soon though! ( I call them my boys but confess I have no idea what sexes they are).
Kent is a lovely place, they call it the garden of England. It's in the South East and where we live is right by the coast lovely at this time of year, but very harsh in the winter.
Looking forward to getting to know you all and your owners!
