Hello
 Hello everyone. I just found this wonderful site yesterday and could not wait to join. I am a new owner to a GCC that just wouldnt let me come home without her from the pet store..  Before I brought her home I did alot and I mean ALOT of research online to make sure I could give her a good home. With my husband recently becoming disabled I knew she would never be alone and would be a perfect fit in our family. I never expected to fall in love with her so quickly. I actually never even thought about owning a bird before. Then again I never thought we would have tortoises or a snake either  . I have already spent hours reading everything on here and cant wait to learn more so I can be a better mom to my baby. I am also looking forward to meeting all of you and sharing experiences and tips with each other.

Hi Zoes Mom,
Welcome to the board. I adopted a Nanday Conure in Feb 2006. I found him to be very very entertaining. More so than I thought that conures would be. Before I adopted him I, like you, did alot of research. I read everything that I could find. Any how.... enjoy the board.

Here are a few pictures of Zoe. She was born on December 3rd of 2005. She is such a good bird and so smart too. My husband is the lucky one that gets to spend the most time with her but believe me when I say I spend every extra second I get with her. She is so cute I could eat her up!

Zoe has won the jack-pot! The pic of her in the bowl is very sweet. Is Zoe a dilute?
Samm your Jenday(?) is fabulous [hope I got that right, I can be kind of backwards with names sometimes, & it's late  ]. No wonder they were so popular in the 80's - was reading about conures & this breed has become less popular [noise issues apparently] over time. However the writer said they were still his fav.
