Hawks, huh? Yeah, I think they'd find a little 'tiel to be a tasty snack if they got the opportunity! We live on a wooded lot, and I'm always checking out the trees looking for owls whenever I take Gracie outside....

We have Red Tails here. A few months ago I had an injured sparrow under my feeder. I was walking out to help it, and no more than 2 feet from it when a hawk snatched it right out from under me. No warning, no time to even see it coming. I wouldn't bring a tiel outside here without it being in a carrier for anything!
