Hi! We're New!
Hi! My names Laura and I have a Lovebird named Tobey and I just adopted a female SI (I believe) Eclectus who I've named Ava!
Tobey was kept in horrible comditions, his cage wasn't even big enough to stretch his wings. He had no toys and when I went to see him, no water. He's moved into a huge cage and is learning how to play with toys and how to trust people! He's a very sweet little guy but is still nervous about hands. He's come a long way and is still progressing! Ava (we've only had her for about 2 days!) came from an elderly couple who couldn't take care of her anymore. She was/is handtame but hasn't been handled much recently. She also was one a seed diet with colored pellets! I'm shocked her feathers look as good as they do. She also hasn't experienced showers...we're working on that! She will take food from my hand and she let me touch her chest for a few seconds before snapping at my finger.  I'm desperately trying to change her diet! I bought lots of great stuff to cook for her but she just isn't interested yet. I've gotten great info from reading birdboard! I'm looking forward to learning more!

Welcome to Birdboard! Your babies are adorable. I have 6 Ekkies - I just love them! Good for you to get her off of those seeds and colored pellets. Seems you have definitely done your research!

Hi & Welcome.
How old are your fids? YOur photos are very good - they both look pretty good despite their pasts. I'm sure they will both be very happy in their new home. How are they together? jim (jimpierce7 ) - another member has a lovebird & an Ekkie female! It took my budgie about a month before he let me touch him lightly on the chest. I'm sure it will work out. Photos & updates are all we ask, in return for any advice.
