Hello Im new!
I finaly manged to beat the registration code and join.
 I have visited a few times and final I have a voice.  This year I was in a pet shop and spotted this Amazon. He was a bit shy but there was something about him. All the shop knew was he was 10 and his mum had had a baby who had asthma and could not cope with the feathers. We felt there must be some problem behavier but took a chance. I felt strongly that he was called Charlie. He is great and we both love him. He has nipped but never bitten and respnded well to us. Thats all for now.

Hi & Welcome.
 What type of Amazon? Are you sure of the sex? What type of cage did you get? How lucky are you - hope he & you will have a great relationship. There is a lot of info here - some good recipies and stories about living with a parrot. There are a variety of play gyms used around here too - but you did say you werer familiar with BB, so you probably alrerady know. Look forward to seeing your Zon soon.

Welcome, Mrs. L! Love your part of the world--my spouse is from Edinburgh, but worked in Middlesbrough for a few years, and I lived there during a season while we waited for the INS to approve his visa application to move here. From Middlesbrough, he took me all over the country, and my fav places in England always seemed to be in Yorkshire (York--loved the Minster--and Thirsk, 'cause the James Herriot Museum is there! LOL!). I think you'll like it here :-).
