Hey... greetings to Australia and welcome to BB.
I have sort of a connected feeling to Australia - not because I've been there or lived there, but people always confuse my home country Austria with Australia...
Post pics!

Welcome! You won't be able to tell the sex of your Alexandrine until well after it is a year old... so you may want to have the baby DNA'd. May sure it is abundance weaned before you take him home. They are wonderful birds! I used to have one.

Welcome Aussie Girl! I'm from Brisbane. You'll fnd that most breeders tend to surgical sex birds unless you specifically ask them to use DNA sexing. I bought Chaska at a bird fair and she has already been surgically sexed. I chose to use DNA on my other birds, just send in a couple feathers and you will hae the answer in less than a week. It's breeding season now, so you won't have to wait long for a weaned baby.
