Finally introducing myself

I am by far no amazon expert, but when I first looked at him I thought lilac crowned... Not only the coloring, but his beak too... Red loreds tend to have brighter red crowns and less blue, with darker beaks, and yellowing in the cheeks. Not many red lored have a completely horned colored beak. Lilac crowns on the other hand tend to have a maroon red with a flourescent like look of lilac that goes from behind the red lore to the back of their neck, highlighting what appears to be neon green cheeks as compared to the rest of the body. They always have (at least from pictures I've seen thus far) have horn colored beaks, such as Loki's.

Guess I'd have to say that no doubt in my mind he's lilac, I just didn't mention anything about it until I saw it brought up.

Kim, I know that D is a red lored, but is Lope not a lilac crowned???

Lope is a Mexican Red Headed Amazon. He does look closer to Loki than D does though.

Now that I can see a close-up I notice the difference! I was looking at the one in your signature which is a bit blury and harder to see... Lope definitely has more red on his head than a lilac crown would!
