new but not so new

im not really new here. I joined a long time ago but i had computer promblems
and could not find the group any more.so sense it been a long time i decided to reintroduce myself
my name is linda and I am owned by jojo who will be 3 in jan. her story is this. I bought her just before she hatched. she was still in the egg. I wanted a female and will breeder got attached to jojo told me it was a boy, and there was a fight, a few threats of law suit etc and finally she shipped me jojo.
when she was 8 months old i believed her to be male but eventually i had him dna sexed by bio tech only to discover jojo was not a male but a female.

i also have a dna sexed male pionus who is now 5 months old. his name is the general. he is a very mean and aggressive bird.here is his story.
i belong to a bird club in san diego and there was a person who breed pionus or at least had 1 pair that she breed
i liked the woman and placed a deposit with her . big mistake. I went to her house to visit my baby and i got to watch him being handfeed at 2 days old as she had to pull early due to parents not caring for the babies and she had lost one of the babies.
I even got to hold him at 3 days old. Talk about nervous but she showed me how to do it safely. I picked the smaller baby at 3 weeks because it appeared calmer.
one day i get a call from her to pick up my baby. Will although he was eating some he was not fully weaned. . i get there where i discover she had sold my baby and was giving me the bigger one which i was not happy about
i should of backed out right then but she had my money. she went to get the baby and it cringed from her and nipped her.
i thought the breeder was going to kill him. she grabbed him by the neck and i thought she was going to choke him.
at first i did not think the general was going to be a grabbed. when she placed him on grabbed he readily came to me.
i brought him home. he ne never been in a cage before . he was kept in plastic tub. at breeders. it was fun to watch him climb his gage for the first time. it was funny he climb up however he could not get down lol i had to help him every time but within a week he was climbing like a pro
now here the general loll > He mean. he has no fear but is not tame. he will swoop down land on my finger while in cage and bite and not let go. he was completely completely
i been working with him and have the bites to prove it lol. i can still cant get him on finger in his cage but i open his door and he comes out. he will actually fly to the floor next to me( I set on floor when working with him) at first he bite at any attempt to handle him bit he now will get on finger and stay there a few minutes before he begains to bite. he will allow his head to be scratch for a few minutes before he bites but it more then what he would allow me to do then 7 weeks ago when he first came

Wow.., why in the hell would you buy a bird from a breeder you don't trust?

And why in God's green earth, would you continue on with a bird that supposedly wasn't yours? That is crazy to me!

BTW, Savvy, how many new names are you going to come up with? I'm beginning to lose count of your alters, and the grievances you have against people who have treated you badly!!! Day-um..., sure seems to be like everyone you run into! I am sensing a pattern here...!!!

jeth ther was no promblem except that i had a breeder who had my money and wanted to keep jojo at same time. i was simply telling her story.
hi outlaw yes it savynurse lol . I have not used that handle in ages.

oh i been around. spend most of my time with agrican gray owners and other groups on msn.

i knew this breeder from my club and she is the club breeder etc and so i thought i had no reason not to trust her. she does loves her birds it just her methods seem a little cruel to me. i dont think putting hand on the birds thought as a good way to end biting.
she had my money by then and at that point she was not going to refund me my money. so no i did not have to go thru with the sell but i would of lost my money. and no bird it would of been crazy to walk away without a bird and my money
there no pattern. jojo breeder was not bad. she just got attached to jojo and wanted to keep her and was trying to discourage me from getting her and allowing her to find me another gray
as for my handles . simple got computer virus/syware then could not get back on had to rejoin groups with another handle mostly because of password issues.
as for present hasndle will lol my co workers actually thought it was better then nursenurse or savynurse. too many promblems with people asking medical questions that i cannot or are not qualified to answer not so much with groups but other AREAS OF INTERNET.
