Another Newbie

Hi Y'all,

Well, another sleepless night, & since the birds are all asleep, I did the next best thing...logged onto a bird bb!
I'm not new to birds, just this cool BirdBoard. We (currently) have 3 feathered kids..first there's Stitch, a 4 month old B&G, then comes Mali, a 6 month old Grey, and last but not least is Sonny - who we just learned should be called Sonia or Sophie, a 5 or 6 yr. old Sun Conure.
We'd really love to have a cockatoo, (wanted one for years), but our teen son w/asthma might not be able to handle it.....but.....he'll be going off to college next August, so.....Cockatoo time is coming! (if my wallet will allow).
As said earlier, we've had birds for years, so if we can help anyone out with anything, drop us a line. (I had so many for a while there that I had to go to work at my local bird shop just to pay for food & toys & perches - but Wow, did I learn a lot)!! <Seemed our house became a dumping ground for people who didn't want their birds anymore, but I'll never complain...it's awesome having birds>.
Okay, that's it for now, the Sandman might be calling my name. hope to meet some of the nice folks I'm reading about here so far!

See ya,
Gagmo

Photos are forthcoming - soon as I figure out how to post them! (that's why I had (real) kids - to program the vcr, post pics on the computer, wash & wax Mom & Dad's car, etc.!

Hey, real quick......That litho you have on your threads would make an awesome stained glass window!!!! Do you by chance have a drawing or cartoon of it? (I make stained glass & am always looking for cool bird-related subjects).

Pse watch for pics - coming soon to a screen near you!!

Let's see, when I think of the kids going off to college I think of....... $$$.... and how broke we are! <grin> With child # One in her 3rd year at FSU, & #2 going off next August, (hopefully to either Emory or GA Tech).....CHA-CHING !! What else can you think of? My fingers are so cut up from massively producing stained glass to help pay for their education that even the birds kiss my fingers when they see my "boo-boos" !
Honestly, it's the only way they can survive now, <a good education> and we all want our kids, (feathered -or- fleshy), to have the best. I should luck-out on my son - he has a 4.1 GPA, & the college invites now come daily for him lately, so a scholarship is on the horizon!

Will have pics posted soon. Stay tuned!!
