Cool I'm Dewey's mom

I am retired from administrative services and so happy to be so. I have had Dewey for approximately 6 years (but who 's counting) I have been around birds most of my life starting as a youngster with my grandfather rasing budgies, then as an adult I had a cockatoo and a blue front and also raised canaries. Marital problems caused me to have to find new homes for my birds. However with all that behind me I now have Dewey. I am her third owner and I knew both of her previous owners. I never desired to have an African Grey but she was unwanted and such a sweetie I couldn't resist. I have never been sorry that I adopted her. She is a real cutie and oh so smart. But aren't they all. I am new to this type of forum but look forward to exchanging stories and ideas with other bird lovers.

That's a great story about your grey. Sounds like she's in the perfect home. Welcome to BB. I'm also new to this forum thing.

Thumbs up

Hi There to all! Thanks for the warm welcome. I'll post a pic as as I can figure out how to do it. I look forward to sharing with all of you. Dewey is a congo and up until last spring I thought she was a he. But she laid two eggs so I am trying diligently trying to change from saying he to she. Just because it feels right. Any way looking forward to visiting back & forth. bye for now
