Greetings

Hello Everyone,

My name is Michael, or as some may know me, Michael L.* I was a long time regular at Birdmart and took an extended* leave for a while.* I decided to try a "registered" forum for a change.

I am a long time keeper and breeder of several species of birds.* All of my birds are respected and treated equally, but if I have to put a label on my "pets" I have a Military Macaw, Red Bellied Parrot, Peach Face Lovebird and an Australian King Parrot.

My breeding flock consists of Australian Kings, Lesser Jardines, Timneh Greys, Meyers, Senegal's, Red Bellied, Peach Face Lovebirds, Painted Conures, Green Cheek Conures, Scarlet Chested Parakeets,Turquoisine and Moustache Parakeets.

I'm happy to offer what I know based upon my own personal experiences and what has worked well for me and my flock.* I respect that there are many avenues of avian husbandry and enjoy hearing the thoughts of others.

Welcome Michael. Very cute King. I have just added a Photo contest to our forum. You may be interested in submitting a photo for it. The contest will officially start on the 1st of October. Each month, the users here will have the opportunity to rate each individual picture on a scale of 1 to 5. (5 being the best). The software automatically averages the rating, and at the end of the month,.. The user who has the highest photo rating will win a bird toy. I was going to pre-purchase the bird toy, and put a picture of it online, but because of the wide species variation of our users birds, I will wait to purchase it until I know what size toy to get for that users bird. I will spend approximately $20.00 on a toy for the winner, and pay shipping expenses. I am trying some new ideas here at the forum, this being one of them. I am also open to suggestions on anything to improve our site, and forum.

I think you have me mistaken with some other Michael. I have never had a bird store and it's been years since I bought any new birds.

Hi Michael I thought you were Michael L. Odermatt. He left the city and took a pair of my birds with him . He promised to pay me but he never has. It was a pair of senegal. Im sorry if you arent him. I apology for the mistake. Mark
