I started out when I was 8 years old breeding homing pigeons, I would sell the babies to the local
bird store next thing you know they would be home in like 30 days sitting on my roof, what happens the store sold my birds and the customers let em out after a month or so they fly home. I do believe ive had just about every species of parrot somewhere down the line, My last go around was in florida I opened a bird store next thing you know im climbing the trees of souith florida robbing quaker nests , macaw nests, I actually caught 4 pair of severe macaws during the middle of the night and lots of conures, blue crowns cherry heads and bunch of other species, I was like a raven...lol I now live back in southern california where I have 5 pairs of congos, pair leadbeaters ,hawkheads yellow napes and the all new greater hill mynahs which arrive today at noon, Im attempting to open another bird store as we type here and we need lots of luck ...see ya Paul Caronna Jr |

Re: comedian
Hi Paul,
Wow, I can just imagine you climbing trees to get eggs, lol!!!! I am also new to this site. I only have 6 cockatiels and 4 parakeets, but I hope to get some bigger birds soon. At least I want to. I have been thinking about buying some eggs and hatching them myself (know of anyone selling exotic bird eggs in PA?), since I cannot justify to my husband why I need to spend $1000 or even $400 to buy a bird. It is not the lack of money, but rather he is not a bird lover by any means! He is even afraid of my tiny cute parakeets. Yeah, I know he's such a baby!!!! You should see his face if one of my birds (especially the cockatiels) land on him! Good luck with your new pet store! Jessica |
