Hello to all
I am joining this forum with my family of feathers. 1 U2, 1 GCC, 3 Lovies and 3 Tiels. All of which have rehomed to my home from rescues. And not to forget the found puppy on the street, now six years old. We recently moved the entire flock and fur to Pa from Fla, all in the car together. !!! Husband transfered. We will now attempt to live thru the winter. Glad to be amongst other bird lovers I am no expert, just love to talk with people about the parrot passion we all share. Also have a strong interest in wildbirds and sighting them. Good to be here.

Re: Hello to all
Hi ladyhawk
Welcome to the board and welcome to PA. There's a few of us here from PA. You have quite a bunch there. That guarantees that you'll be kept real busy and your mind won't be on our frigid winters. BRRRRRR. Send in some pics of your menagerie. We love people who rehome birds and other animals and give them another chance. Hope you enjoy it here.-----Dave |

Glad you joined us and we look forward to hearing from you. Any questions, please feel free to ask...we've got a good group of people here. Michael |

Re: Hello to all
Hi Ladyhawke :) You have enough to keep you busy with all those beautiful birds mate!
It makes my day to see people rescuing birds in need. All the birds I look after for a rescue whereby they paid for two huge averies in my very big garden and I helped build them and look after Sulphur Crested Cockatoos and Galahs (Rose Breasteds) Some of our birds have sad stories (hard to believe kids would throw stones at a bird) or car trauma and lots of other things which can happen to a bird. We have a wonderful Vet. who gives his care free of charge and surely will have a reserved place in heaven me thinks....... Dave. was saying he knows of places in Australia where wild (rather free flying) Galahs and Sulphurs congregate re people's homes well let me tell you we have hundreds of both at my place always looking for that bit of seed which I do throw out on occasion but not enough to make them dependent. At the moment the Magpies have babies and they are giving their most beautiful song right outside my window but wait for it er 4 a.m. lol. Sure I have tried explaining i.e. mateys could you just wait until 6 a.m. PLEASE lol but they no underconstumble when they want to but trust me DO underconstumble when they want to lol. see ya, Jim |
