Put this... [I M G] (without spaces) before the URL
And put this... [/ I M G] (without spaces) after the picture link and it will work.

Take away the URL tags. PM me if you need more help.

Re: A few Pictures of my birds

It took me 2 days and a migraine before I got it ::) By the way I'm on my way over right now to take your Hyacinth. What gorgeous birds you have. Donna

Re: A few Pictures of my birds

Okay, here is how it works...

There are three ways to access an image.

1 - An HTML reference which is a pure reference to an image. This would be used for example in a Blog template to "put" an image on a web page.

2 - A URL reference which displays a link that if someone clicks on, it will send them to the web page that contains the image.

3 - An IMG reference which will do all three things at once (describe the link, go find the web page where the image is located, and "put" the image in place of the IMG reference.

If you want to show a pic in the message itself, you have to provide the link to the pic and add the IMG tags around the link. It works just like the "BOLD" tags where you provide the text and add the bold tags around that text.

These HTML tags look like this... [bold] and this... [/bold] except instead of the word "bold" being written out, the letter b and /b are used within the brackets.

What that is deciphered by the computer is that the first one says "Everything after this will be bold text until the bold function is closed by the slashed one."

If I actually used the letter "b" in the example above, you would not see the tags, it would just make the words "and this.." in bold font.

Now instead of using the bold tags, just use the IMG and /IMG tags (In the brackets of course) and put the link to the image between them (without the URL tags).

A neat way to see this is to go to the message above where I showed the pic of the Hyacinth and click "quote" which will give you the standard reply box but will show you the actual line that posted the pic in the message (the next to last line). While there, just click on "preview, and instead of the tag line, you see the pic. That is how you know it is working.
Then you can just back page out of the message reply box.

Re: A few Pictures of my birds

Hi Debby,

Welcome and you have very beautiful birds...even if it took awhile to finally see them, lol! BTW, I read the little saying you mentioned that you posted in your house and it is very adorable. Maybe I need something like that.
