Hey- overly curious cockatiel lover
Hey there:
Yup, just joined the site. So, you want to know a little bit about me, eh? Well: User Name: Ralstonka Age Range: Ending the teen years :P Gender: def. female Work: in training for a customer service rep at Chase Bank Background: I've trained horses (Parelli Natural Horsemanship) and spent more hours on horseback than most people will in their entire lives. I moved from Michigan to Arizona about three months ago. I've taken some college classes, but would like to go to ASU once I get my residency to eventually become a financial planner. What I love: my bf, my baby bird (who is making typing hard because he is actually on the side pad typing some numbers...) (!) My baby bird: Species: Cockatiel Age: 3 months Gender: male....I don't care what people say, this is a boy! He is VERY noisy and has very bright markings for a baby (and I've seen his siblings, he sticks out) Color: cinnamon-pied Where I Got Him: a very amazing lady who breeds cockatiels, her website (which isn't too pretty): http://www.thefeatherednest.org/Swee...eet_beaks.html Personality: CURIOUS....he gets into everything. Other than that, he is usually pretty calm and will sit on your shoulder for ages. His favorite toy is my keyboard, darn bird! He loves my semi long fingernails and waking my bf and I up around 7:30 every morning. I just go grab him and sleep for an hour while he sleeps on my chest. |

Re: Hey- overly curious cockatiel lover
Hello and Welcome!!! You moved away from Michigan???? What were you thinking??? :o Just kidding I would too if I could. You love horses to huh? That's my girl. I showed Quarter horses when I was younger but back problems keep me off horses now. (Darnit) I love to ride. We like photo's of you, BF, horses, birds and anything you feel like sharing. You'll find alot of great people here who know their stuff so ask many questions and you will get good advise. See ya around!!

Re: Hey- overly curious cockatiel lover
Hi and Welcome :-)
I love posts that are so sure about the sex of a cockatiel :-) Figaro was noisy and whistles and has all the colorings of a male... until HE laid an egg :-) Now she's Figgy :-) I am new to these forums and it seems like a great bunch! Have Fun, Bill |
