Hi, I'm new here, thought I should introduce myself :)

Hi... my name is Julie :) I live in Terre Haute, IN and I'm in LOVE with birdies!!

My whole life I've been a cat person... not anymore. :-X but don't tell the cats!!

I do small animal and bird rescue. I currently have my own personal little zoo. My oldest daughter tells me we still need a zebra. She's not kidding though.

I have determined that bird people are so much nicer than cat people. I was getting involved in breeding cats, but the people are NOT friendly at all. Or not the majority anyway. EVERY bird person I've met in person has been fabulous. Not that I'm expecting everyone I run across to be that way, but still...

I am an internet junkie and am online ALL the time ::) but won't be as soon as the weather starts to warm up and stay that way... then it's gardening time...

Until then... I look forward to discussions here :)

Hi Julie! Glad that you could join us! Tell your' daughter that Zebras' up for adoption are hard to find! The wife and I have a house full of birds and fish, and we like bird people better too!

Its good to see some new faces around here. I have been through Terre Haute a few times. It seems like a nice place to live. I used to live in Avilla IN,... Its waaay up north from you. At the time I lived there, y parents still lived in Missouri, so I made the trip TONS of times. interstate 70 was the best part of the trip.

Re: Hi, I'm new here, thought I should introduce myself :)

Hi Jason. It's ok here... better than some places, worse than others I guess.

I HATE the drive between here and MO. Course I'd always take the wrong road into St. Louis and have to figure out what I did and how to fix it! It goes to like a million lanes over that bridge, or 2 bridges...

I don't care for I 70... it's kinda boring. I did like the drive to VA esp. the PA turnpike! :)

I've never heard of Avilla... :(

Is there a place somewhere you can send invitations to people to join here?

Re: Hi, I'm new here, thought I should introduce myself :)

not really. you would have to e-mail them this link... :
http://www.exoticbirds.us

or you could click the file menu, at the top of your Internet explorer toolbar, and go down to "send"
Thats the only way I know how to do it....
