Hi everyone,
A bit about me. I am currently a Birdmom to 20, yes I said 20 different birds. 1; 10 yr old budgie, 2 hybrid lovebirds, age unknown, 1, moustache parakeet Est age 16...she is blind. 1 cherry head conure who is 19 yrs old. 1 white eyed conure who is 9 yrs old; she plucks feathers only when stressed. a Hahn's macaw, he is 14 years old, Bad plucker, naked from neck to ankles... he is starting to let down grow back at my house... there is hope. An 9 year old Orange wing Amazon... Zack, sweet bird, just has lost trust. As well as 12 cockatiels of various ages. 5 hatched in my house and are complete darlings.
Most of the birds are rescues, who come from various backgrounds, most of the birds are misunderstood, a few neglected, a couple abused. I have hope and love for all of them. They are all healthy, just lacking love and some just needed to have their flock needs met, which is more than met at my house.
I started with cockatiels 14 years ago... then I adopted TJ the Cherry head conure and the love of my life, the rest is history. TJ has taught me a lot about what a bird needs, We have a wonderful relationship, far beyond what I thought I would ever get from a bird. He is very supportive, loving and a great friend and has helped me through many difficult times. Parrots... More than the eye can see. :-*
