Hi, my name's Melanie. I live in Melbourne, Australia. I have a rainbow lorikeet called Ashling and she is so quirky and fun to be around! I can't believe a bird could be so PLAYFUL! She rolls on her back and plays with balls like a kitten! I just love her! I also have a pair of cockatiels- Peanut and Indi, who are beautiful.

Hi Bird People!

My name is Cathy and I live with 9 birds: 2 Senegal Parrots, 2 Quakers, 2 lovebirds and 3 budgies (pictures attached). Most of them came through the wild bird rehab/sanctuary where I volunteer either lost or abandoned by their previous humans. I live in Largo, FL. I also have the honor of handling two hawks that are permanent residents at the bird sanctuary. They are not releasable because of injuries that they sustained and are now kept as educators . Looking forward to meeting some of you other crazy bird folks. I love my birdies!!!!

Isis, the red-tailed hawk

Here is one of the hawks, Isis. She's about 25 or so. She is blind in her left eye, but they are not entirely sure what happened to her. She came into the sanctuary about 20 years ago. Isn't she just gorgeous??!!??

New to BirdBoard

Hello Everyone!

My name is Kimberly. I am new to BirdBoard, and talking in forums, period. I am from CT and I have 4 birds (all are cockatiels). I have 2 females (fallow? and 1 pearl) and 2 males (1 normal grey and 1 white face). I just wanted to introduce myself and my babies to everyone. Soon I will be having a few more hatching, chirping babies (as stated in my profile). I am very excited about this and I cannot wait to see what these little ones look like. This is my first time experiencing such a wonderful event, and I am just elated to go along for the ride.

I tried posting pictures of my babies, not sure if they work.

I apologize if I didn
t post my introduction in the correct place, still learning about these forum/ thread lingo.

Hi there! My name is CC and I live with two conures: a greencheek named Midori, and a sun named Keno. I also have a canary named Twee, and owned 4 corellas (bare eyed cockatoos) until recently when they were re-homed into an fantastic aviary situation with lots of other birds. I live in Australia, about 2 hours north of Sydney, with my partner and our precious birds.

Midori has just turned 1, and Keno is 3 years old now. They are the sweetest things in the world, I can't imagine life without them.
