Re: Welcome everyone New Members!

This is to re-introduce myself. I live in Missouri with 19 pet parrots and 2 spoiled poodles. I'm a hobby breeder of Tiels - 8 pair, Parrotlets - 6 pair, Lovebirds - 2 pair, Quakers - 3 pair and 1 pair each of Indian Ringnecks, Green Cheek Conures, and Peach Front Conures. Glad to be back.

Jane

Wink Hello

Hello there. I am LeTisha Kasper and I just today got a new feathered friend His? name is Sidney. He is a Timneh African Grey. He is about 7 years old. We both live in MN. I found Sid on our local craigslist this week. I have always wanted an african grey but I was actually looking for a citron crested cockatoo. With african greys I have read that they tend to adopt one person in the family, and with having small kids I had decided that it might be best to wait to get a grey till my kids were older. But I saw this guy and fell in love. When I got to the house to meet him, even if he would have been a nasty bird that i would have had to work on behavior modification I still would have brought him home. His cage was gross, there was liquid in his dish but it was mostly water mixed with poop. And he stunk. Soooo We bought him brought him home totally scrubbed down his cage and gave him his first real shower. He has had a trying day but he is doing good so far.....
