Hi, first day here. Nice to meet you.

We live in Atlanta, Georgia, my husband and I. I'm 47, female, and red-haired. For some reason, that seemed to amuse my new bird. He started preening it almost right away.

I'd been birdless for a few years. Now we have a brand new fid--a six-year old cockatiel we adopted when someone had to give him up. He's already doing well--a real sweetie, with just enough attitude to have some personality. (he's unclipped, which may explain the attitude lol).

I used to have a CAG, who remained in his home with my ex when I moved. They both still come up and visit--both bird and ex.

Look forward to hanging out, now that I'm a bird person again. Right now I'm gearing up on "the stuff" I need--new cage, dishes, etc.
