New from Seattle...ish :)
Hi all, glad to be here. I'm in Western Washington and wanted to say hello. As far as the bird situation goes I have two brother cockatiels...one pied and one grey who are my luvs. I have a breeding pair of Rosey Bourkes parakeets. I have a pair of societies with a chick due to fledge this weekend, and a pair of gouldians with seven chicks in the nest, and I'm a member of the National Finch and Softbill Society.
I'm especially interested to meet and talk with any others who own or breed bourkes or any and all resources regarding bourkes that I can get my hands on. I have been able to find surprisingly little regarding breeding practices and registries regarding these guys. In fact, I've only been able to find one other breeder of Bourkes in my entire state, and they are a few hundred miles away. Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and say hello! |
