A little about our family:
All our family members are "rehome" Even my wife. Me too.
One of our little guys is “Taz” (conure) He’s gotta be with me at all times when I”m home. He helps me eat dinner & lunch, and gets an attitude when I don’t invite him over for dinner. He really doesn’t eat much at all Taz is a cross between a Nanday, & a Sun conure. I call him my Sunday He’s so bright & talks all day long. Picks up everything I say, and sounds as if we have educative conversations, even laughter Just hangs all over on my shirt & talks to me, when he’s not getting into some thing I’m eating or drinking. He has brilliant yellow & orange colors on his underside with tail & wing feathers going from green to blue to deep purple. Gorgeous in the sunlight.

Another family member is Diego, A Timneh African Grey A good talker and dead on with sounds, such as Phone calls microwave beeps whistles you name it. & he’ll sound just like it. He’s his own man. Does dances for us Waves the countries flag, & puts on a great show. I swear this guy knows exactly what you are saying, and acts accordingly. Maybe a touch of telepathy. To me, the term “BirdBrain” is an extreme compliment

Our last edition to the family at 15 months old, is Skylar, a Blue & Gold Macaw. He’s one of a kind for love & affection. He’s with me when Taz isn’t. I usually give Taz to my wife so Skylar can love on me. He does talk some but he’s still young 13 months old. Hello, Hi, Hey, & Help are some of his vocabulary. One night he was yelling HELP HELP, and when I came down stairs & ask him WHAT, he laughed, and wanted me to take him out. I took him to bed for a while. He has a Flight Suit & Leash & goes into pet stores with me to pick out his toys. He’s got his own car perch & sits in the front seat so he can see EVERYTHING, and some times comments on what he sees. I got to answer him, he wont let me not answer him. These guys are so damn intelligent it’s scary some times. They do know what you are talking about, by their eye motion & body movement at times. Skylar will walk the floors looking for me if I don’t come back in the living room soon enough. All of them will go in their cages when you tell them too. They make great companions. I absolutely love them all like family members, cause that’s what they are. Fids, featherd kids.They play jokes on you, hide & seek is cool. But when I get home, the love they give me when I walk thru the door is so precious. My wife gets home 2.5 hours before I do & they give her the same attention & love. Then after all settles down. They look out the window for my car. My wife says they hear the car a block away and scream like all hell till I give em a kiss. My wife & I feel very special for the love & affection they all give us. They give us gifts also. We got to pretend we like it, but they all share with us like we share dinner with them. I look very differently at life anymore, especially the wild animals around the house. Even the wild animals know some thing special is going on when they come to the window and squawk for you to throw out seed for them.
