A late introduction

I've been a member since last summer, but never actually introduced myself. My work keeps me pretty busy, so all spare time is spent with the fids, not with the computer.

I'm Leslie, I have a sun conure named Quidditch (1.5 yrs old) and a CAG named Quaffle (approx 7 months old). I had no idea when we got Quidditch how much I would end up loving her. The night before we brought her home, I tossed and turned in bed. I was convinced it would be a terrible idea to bring an animal into our home. Especially one that could live that long. And then we got a Grey! Now we need to draft a will. As much as my mother-in-law doesn't like the fact that our kids are fids and not humans, they truly are our children.

Leslie

Hi- You birds are very cute! I told my three daughters that it was a good idea to keep both plants and a pet alive for a year before they tried to have children, lol. Good training and practice! I now have 2+ grandbabies, 2 grandkittys and 2 grandpuppies!

I love the birds and esp the names. Your next one could be a gold capped conure named "Snitch". I would love to have a Snow Owl just like Harry.

Welcome

My husband really wanted an owl after reading/watching Harry Potter. We got Quidditch instead. I think it's illegal to own an owl as a pet in the USA. Plus, I'm not sure I'd like the feeding process. We almost named our grey Hufflepuff, but my sister-in-law came up with Quaffle. Not sure how we missed thinking of that one ourselves! The Snitch idea is good, but I think our home has reached its maximum pet capacity. I'm not sure I can handle any more! These two are a handful.
