hello from new PA member

Hello. Happy to see this very helpful board and can see I will probably spend lots of time on it! We just added a second cockatiel to our family and 2 pairs of finches. We are blessed as well with two cats, two dogs and one large goldfish, whose friend recently passed away, sadly. It's good to meet some informed people who recognize that birds are wonderful companions and smart, as well, since we know some people who just look at them like they're from another planet!

Hey Matt! If you do go to the Pet Expo in Reading, stop by the Berks County Bird Club's booth and look me up!

You've got a (bird) friend in Pennsylvania!

I live up near the NY State line, so Reading is a drive.

This is a great forum, and we'll try to interest you in more larger parrots. I started with a 'tiel in October and now have 2 tiels, 2 nandays and 2 suns... and 2 human children.

Thanks to everyone who spoke up to let me keep my nandays in pa!!

Nothing wrong with tiel...although i do love the big guys too. There is just something about those cockatiels that makes ya love them.
