Lol thats what the blue fronted amazon does at the petshop near me lol he flings upside down and tries to climb on peoples backs haha.

Yeah some birds can still fly if they are clipped. thats why a harness is good. i still gotta get one for matches.

Lila is so cute!

I think I'll try one.
I was looking at them at Tropic Zone where we got Lila, and I didn't buy it because it looked too difficult to put on.
The shop owner warned against using a "leg leash" because of the danger of injuring the bird's leg with it.

Yeah i am going to buy a harness that way matches can stay flighted and come outside..even if she was clipped i would probably harness her...i dont trust other birds..if they dive bomb she would most probably fly. I saw a vid of Irish's hy macaw mikey blue getting one put on and it looks kinda hard lol funny though...ill give it a go...i dont need all 10 fingers LOL

hi and welcome! i love the name lila. i had a sister named lila. it is a german name "i believe"??? but it is pretty and different. i think lilac front amazons are beautiful and if i ever got an amazon i would hope to have a lilac. ohh...and i think a harness is a good idea. i bought one for my caique but haven't "tried" it on him yet. i wanted it for when we're outside, not just for the possibility of him flying away (he is also clipped) but also for protection against predator birds..we have redtailed hawks around here and if bailey is with me i don't think the hawk would be as likely to come too close. at least i hope not!
