Hello Everyone!

Greetings from Dover, PA! New member to the board. I will be getting my first Senegal parrot within the next couple weeks after she is weaned. Just thought I would join the site and read and interact with other avian friends! :-)

I've had some parakeets and finches in the past, and as a child my parents had a parrot, but they ended up getting rid of it because it annoyed them, rather than try understanding and working with it. This will be my first Senegal, and everything I have read about them I think I'm going to be a most happy father.

So hello to all...hope to be talking to you all in the near future.

Tony

Welcome! I too joined before buying my own first parrot (been around birds all my life though but first bought by me) and just got my Matches on Saturday. Sennies are so cute! Birdsnreps on this board have some baby pics up. They are very lovely looking birds and im sure you will have fun. I know the wait will be hard (i waited for over 2 and a half months) and you will probably re arrange the cage so many times before it comes home but will all be worth it. Do you know if you're getting a boy or a girl or doesnt matter? Anyways welcome and you will find alot of help as there are quite a few people with sennies on here.

Thank you Courtzrocks!!! Great to be here...doing a lot of browsing around and looks like a very cool community.

I'm getting a little girl. They had the DNA test done and have a certificate for it. As for rearranging the cage...you're right...I've done it 3 times tonight already. lol

Hahaha i know how it feels...i used to find myself just staring at the empty cage like the bird was in it LOL. I get the DNA results in 2 weeks to find out if i have a girl or boy...thinking a girl too. Doesnt matter cos the personality in the alexandrines arent too different from eachother.

Sennies seem to be great birds...i would like one one day but there arent many senegal breeders in australia.

Birdsnreps has sennies and i think jimpierce?? has one and someone (Mr.blackmask maybe??) has a little meyers called butters too...lots more people have them on here too.
