Greeting from podunky Idaho. I found this forum thru the finch forum where I am happy to say I am a new finch mom! And am enjoying the finch forum so much thought would be nice to expand a little and meet more people who love birds.

I am new to bird ownership but have been a bird lover forever! I mainly photograph them for fun, and some freelancing on the side, but these days is mainly for fun. I started an aviary which by the looks of it is on the large side compared to others? Not sure but is my first attempt but I have an indoor garden-green house that is rather on the large side "I hear" and enclosed part of it for my nine finches to enjoy. So far they are doing well and I even have a pair of spices nesting!

Other then the birds and indoor gardening, I enjoy my horse, and lots of crafty arts. I work in the medical field as an NP. I have a almost 16y/o son, hubby is a work hound so gone a lot it seems. What else can i tell y'all?

not much I guess? but am looking forward to meeting bird lovers!

sorry just kidding...been here 4 years and am still lost. at least you know the name of our mountains! I just call em the hills...they all look alike to me! I am in Salmon which I refer to as an Island, no water surrounding us, just mountains! that being said I gotto go chase the elk out of the yard....hehe! (serious)
