Hello to all
I'm Jeff,
Just thought i should stop by and introduce myself. A little History; I started with birds when i was mearly 13 it was a budgie. One became 2 and that became 4 you all know how it goes right? When i was 15 i got my first Tiel, he was awesome Pojka was his name (swedish for little boy). i lost him 2 years ago at the age of 19 he is well missed. Anyway tiels got me going into other species such as conures, my first pair was Greater Patagonians a little noisey but they were neat, then into nandays, I always thought other birds would be quieter than the cconures but they weren't and thats how i strted with amazons, cockatoos, ringnecks, and a whole lot of other species too long to mention here. They peaked my curiosity so much I was able to get a job as an assistant animal trainer. This was a blast, i got to teach birds free flight, basic tricks, and tricks based off of natural behaviors. I then moved on to a zookeeper position, and now the fun has started, macaws, ostriches, pheasants, peafowl. As you can tell I love all birds some not the same as others but they are all unique in there own way. I stopped breeding birds about a year ago, i needed a break to refocus. I specialized in Australian and Asian parrots, and I'm now thinking of giveing another effort on Vasa and lorikeets. this should be a blast as well. I am also the Education Coordinator for the Small Private zoo i work for and i present the animals in a more natural lite, i believe it serves the animals better this way, exspecially there wild cousins. So if you have questions feel free to ask, i dont know everything but i think i know a little about alot. Jeff |

The name says it all. This is a bird venue so i didnt want to go into some other critters that i either own or take care of. Some of the fun ones are Zebra, camels ( both 1 and 2 hump ) lemurs, monkeys, coatimundi, binturong, a few large cats, porcupine, just to name a few. So Jungle Jeff is a perfect name. Thanks for the input. And by the way it is spring so theres a bit of a baby boom goin on. Baby Lemurs should start being born in a bout 2 weeks or so, and i have a male emu incubating about a dozen eggs. So I'll Keep you all posted. I have attached 2 photos, 1 is of some baby Sulcata Tortoises, and the other is of my birds Junior (Alexandrian Ringneck) He's 14 months and what a talker.

bb100, These tortoise if they are males will reach weights of 250 lbs. and if some are females they will only get to be about 150. Some with shells up to 36 inches in diameter. The Galapogas Tortoises are the real big ones weighing in at over 600 lbs. on average. And yes i love what i do.
